Most expensive cities in Central Asia

According to Expatistan, a site that calculates the cost of living for expatriates. 
The top 3 most expensive cities in Central Asia are: 

no.1 Astana, Kazakhstan with an average cost of living at $2,604
no.2 Almaty, Kazakhstan  
no.3 Tashkent, Uzbekistan  

According to the Economist, countries in Asia are moving up the ranks of expensive cities, they are now replacing the traditionally expensive cities of Europe. Asian cities are now making up 11 of the world's 20 most expensive cities.

Asia is also home to 6 out of the 10 cheapest cities in the world.
